For those suffering from the aftermath of losing a loved one to suicide a hug can be a rescue from profound and unfathomable grief.  H.U.G.S. is a safe haven for those who need help.  It is a place to be embraced and carried by others until you find the strength to carry on and be strong once again.  H.U.G.S. is not a treatment.  Program Directors, themselves Survivors of Suicide Loss, guide you through your own unique, personal and powerful journey with the skills and tenderness only afforded by those who have experienced this kind of a profound loss of their own.

H.U.G.S. offers a diverse environment of individuals from all different backgrounds that meet bi-monthly to discuss different daily stories, obstacles, hardships, or anything that might have an effect on their members.  H.U.G.S. is open, embraces diversity and welcomes anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide.  Referrals are made for children experiencing such a loss.  In addition to the guided peer support group, H.U.G.S. will also provide early response and individual support to those that do not feel ready for the group environment.   All services are free of charge. H.U.G.S. welcomes people when they feel ready to begin processing their grief.

H.U.G.S. Mission

Parent & Grandparent Support Group
Hugs offers a separate support group where you will find a comforting space to be surrounded by other parents and grandparents who truly understand the myriad of emotions unique to the survivors left behind in the suicide of a child or grandchild.  Listening to others share their journey can be difficult yet cathartic.  Sharing your own story , while not easy, in the company of other parents and grandparents supportive at so many levels.

H.U.G.S. is a nonprofit community outreach program for those who have lost a family member or friend to suicide.
